About Us

Debi Fuchs founded Aptworks Consulting in 1998, having been an avid FileMaker enthusiast since 1990. 

She enjoys working with people, designing interfaces, writing clever scripts, and exchanging knowledge with fellow FileMaker experts. 

Debi has been a speaker at several FileMaker Developer Conferences, where she has presented advanced technical topics to the community of professional FileMaker developers. Debi was also one of two technical editors of the essential book Special Edition: Using FileMaker Pro 7 by Steve Lane, Bob Bowers, Scott Love, and Chris Moyer.

Debi is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she received a B.S. in Mathematics with Computer Science in 1991. She also received an Ed.M. in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. 

Prior to founding Aptworks Consulting, she held positions at Apple Computer (as a software engineer) and MIT (holding various positions in Information Systems & Technology). 

Though Debi has experience with numerous programming environments, she definitely loves FileMaker best.
